Product Update: Candidate Cards Just Got Smarter With AI Summaries and Interview Follow-Ups

We’re excited to announce a significant upgrade to one of Vervoe’s most-loved features: Candidate Cards.

Initially released in 2022, our updated Candidate Cards made it easy to dig into candidate capabilities and share assessment results with hiring managers, clients, or colleagues, no logins required. But as our product evolved, we knew these cards needed a refresh to reflect how hiring teams work today.

With this update, Candidate Cards are now more insightful, more flexible, and more useful than ever—powered by AI and designed for modern collaboration.

What’s New?

AI-Powered Candidate Summaries

We’ve added a new section that gives you an instant snapshot of each candidate’s performance:

  • Areas of Strength – A summary of where the candidate excelled, including specific skills and examples drawn from their responses.
  • Areas for Improvement – A concise look at where they may need more support or development.

Each summary is automatically generated based on the candidate’s scores and answers and tailored to the role they applied for. Whether you’re hiring an engineer or a customer service rep, you’ll get insights that matter.

If a candidate aces the assessment? Only strengths will be shown. If they struggle? You’ll see improvement areas only. No filler, just real insights.

Follow-Up Interview Questions

To help hiring managers dive deeper, we now generate follow-up questions directly from the candidate’s results. These questions fall into three categories:

  • Skill-Specific: Validate high-performing areas
  • Red Flag: Explore weaker or inconsistent responses
  • Cheating Detection: Confirm authenticity when needed

These are surfaced in a collapsible section of the Candidate Card, giving you a practical next step in the hiring process, right where you need it.

Sharing Candidates, Made Simple

Candidate Cards still let you share assessment results with anyone, no login required:

  • Bulk sharing: Select and share multiple candidates in a single link
  • Compare view: See candidates side-by-side with performance breakdowns.
  • Multi-assessment view: If a candidate completed multiple assessments, you can choose which to include
  • Blind sharing: Hide candidate names for bias-free review
  • Optional scoring: Let recipients leave comments or scores, if enabled

Designed for Privacy and Flexibility

Only scored candidates will display:

  • Performance insights
  • AI summaries
  • Follow-up questions

Candidate names can be hidden, replaced with “Candidate 1”, “Candidate 2”, and so on. This makes Candidate Cards ideal for agency sharing, internal collaboration, or blind reviews in DEI-conscious hiring processes.

Why This Matters

We built this update in response to real customer feedback wanting an easier way to:

  • Share multiple candidates
  • Review performance without bias.
  • Quickly surface what’s great (and what needs probing)

The updated Candidate Cards deliver all of that—and more.

Available Now

This update is live and available to all Vervoe users across plans. Whether you’re using Vervoe directly or via an ATS integration, Candidate Cards are ready to help your team hire smarter, faster, and more fairly.
