A Junior SQL Developer must have a willingness to learn and create various SQL statements in partnership with senior colleagues. This will be a time of intense learning from more senior employees in order to adapt to various industry standards that come with doing SQL work. Specifically, in the Vervoe skill assessment, the following skills are looked at it in detail, their abilities to write and understand basic SQL queries and their communication skills when shadowing senior colleagues.
A Database Administrator should be an organized individual who is able to grasp data from a raw technical standpoint and what this data means for the organization. This will help the management of data because this will help couple the right pieces of data within the database such that it adds value to the business when a data analyst reviews it. Specifically, in the Vervoe skill assessment the following skills are looked at it in detail, their technical abilities in relation to SQL + databases and their communication skills with stakeholders.
A SQL Developer must be highly proficient in writing SQL statements. This must also be paired with their knowledge of database security ensuring the data is not tampered with by the wrong person. Specifically, in the Vervoe skill assessment, the following skills are looked at it in detail, their ability to write different efficient and reusable SQL queries, their knowledge of databases, and their problem-solving skills.
The skills that are tested in this assessment for a Marketing Analyst include the candidate's ability to conduct extensive research, analyze and provide recommendations based on data, communicate with other key stakeholders, and their proficiency in SQL. The assessment will ask candidates how they would use qualitative and quantitative data, what information they would gather when a business is expanding into different countries and markets, how they would present data and make recommendations to a team of stakeholders, and their ability to use SQL to communicate with a database.
