Junior Product Owners assist with backlog management for agile teams. They help ensure that their team is working on the right priorities. They gather requirements from stakeholders/clients, write & refine user stories, participate in agile rituals e.g planning/estimation. A junior product owner should be able to engage with clients/stakeholders to understand their needs, actively seeking to become a subject matter expert and helping the tech team understand these requirements. A junior product owner would usually be completing the above with the support of a Senior PO or Product Manager.
