Markit Chooses 2 Star Sales Reps From 216 Candidates With Vervoe

The challenge

Italy country manager Giorgio Luciani needed to grow his sales team from two reps to three, with no local HR team to help. He found it hard to judge the skills a remote, often-traveling IT account manager role actually needed, and had no time to review resumes or interview a large pool of candidates himself.

The approach

Luciani used a combined job simulation on Vervoe to test both attitude and technical skill, looking for someone aligned with Markit’s culture of transparency, strong ethics, and problem-solving. After advertising the role on LinkedIn, 216 people applied, and Vervoe let him focus only on the strongest simulation responses instead of screening everyone by hand.
