A junior Javascript developer works as part of a development team on both front-end and back-end code for a platform. A junior Javascript developer must be extremely skilled in coding and the Javascript program language, as well as other languages such as HTML and CSS, in order to be able to proficiently do their job. Along with their knowledge of coding and programming languages, a junior Javascript developer must be able to develop and troubleshoot programs and work towards achieving business targets and goals.

UNDERSTAND THE ROLE
Most organizations will require a junior Javascript developer to have a Bachelor degree in computer science or another relevant field from a tertiary institution. It is also favourable that the candidate has past industry experience and training. There are some common skills required for this position.
It is vital that a junior Javascript developer has strong and extensive Javascript skills. They must have knowledge and experience coding in Javascript, and have previously worked on projects using Javascript. They must also understand the strengths and weaknesses of Javascript and keep these in mind when approaching tasks.
A junior Javascript developer must have a strong desire to learn to be successful in this role. They must demonstrate a willingness and desire to learn new skills as well as refine current ones. They must actively seek out feedback to improve their performance, and take initiative to learn outside of their direct work.
It is also important that a junior Javascript developer has a strong sense of professionalism. They must have the ability to liaise with various stakeholders internally and externally in a professional manner, as well as be able to take responsibility and accountability for their work and any mistakes they make.
